For all believers and sceptics, puppet lovers and poetry worshippers, for those who come to a church as to a home and those spiritually homeless. We invite you all to the Shakespearean Holly Mass, a global liturgy with no other confession but to celebrate the joy of imagination and creation. In wintertime, we will come together to share the world of the Great Bard - the words of mystery and folly. No matter if we understand them - we hear them, and see them, and sing and smell and eat. "Don’t be afraid, the isle is full of noises!"

The SHL is a project of the international theatre group KHWOSHCH together with singers from the choir Veselé Chvíle. Inspired by the format of the Christian mass, the SHL uses its liturgy structure as a dramaturgical key for working with Shakespearean texts and developing a new theatrical ritual. It brings together the sacred and the utterly profane, the greatness of choral singing and the tininess of puppetry, the order and the mess.
