The lead character is saturated with information that he cannot process, analyse and evaluate anymore. He bursts with it. THE DRAIN describes the moment when all of the news he is exposed to become too much and he needs to let everything flow out, just like a blocked drain.

The performance balances between creative performance and a theatre confession. The focus lies on a man who is under pressure from the media every day. The information, however, is not presented as an objective news but as notions which already present someone else’s view. This ever-present pressure, after some time, makes us want to express ourselves on everything, and that we feel the need to categorise the information we have gathered at all costs.
